Message About Global IT Outage
Dear Participants,

As you might be aware, a global IT outage has severely disrupted businesses worldwide ensuing in several flight cancellations. Many of our participants were already sending email requests for changing their presentation modes between onsite and online due to other factors like illness, family issues, visa problems, etc. when this global IT outage further exacerbated the situation. Even the systems of our own scheduling team have been impacted by this IT outage. We have been receiving a deluge of emails and are unable to answer each of them in relation to rescheduling/ presentation mode change. Please accept our apologies.

To be considerate to all our stakeholders, we are proposing that:

1) Onsite participants who have already arrived in Ithaca should arrive at Rhodes-Rawlings Auditorium at Klarman Hall on Monday, July 22 at 8:15 a.m. and attend the opening plenary till 12:15 p.m. We would email you the details of the provisional onsite parallel sessions schedule in pdf format by then so that you may proceed to the parallel sessions classrooms. Please do not panic if you do not find your presentation details in it. If you have any scheduling/ rescheduling requests, please approach us at Klarman Hall Room KG44 to the right of the auditorium main door. Please leave a note there with your name and rescheduling request and we shall try our best to do it.

2) Onsite participants who arrive late due to flight changes and have missed their scheduled presentation may approach us with a short note at Klarman Hall Room KG44 as above for rescheduling to subsequent days.

3) Onsite participants going on excursion to the Niagara Falls on Wednesday, July 24, 2024 may please note the tour plan on the Registration Fee page of this website.

4) Onsite participants who are unable to come anymore are allowed to present online. Even if their name/ paper title is not there in the online schedule, they can assemble in an available breakout room with no assigned presentations, select a fellow presenter as Chair/ Coordinator and present their paper online. We shall open more breakout rooms intentionally for this purpose.

5) Zoom links for all plenaries and online parallel sessions are already provided in a heart-shaped orange box on the provisional schedule webpages with webinar/ meeting IDs and passcodes.

We request you to be considerate to everyone at this difficult time.

Thank you.
